    • 250 years ago, was published one of the most remarkable paradigmatic works in the history of theGeology in Spain: the "Aparato para la Historia Natural Española" (The Apparatus for the SpanishNatural History) published in 1754. His author; father José Torrubia, was a naturalist born in Granada (Andalousie, Spain), and restless religious belonging at the Saint Francis Order. The study ofthe fossils from the Molina of Aragon region (center of Spain) make possible to him to stablish oneof the most known theory about the fossilization related with the Universal biblical Deluge. Thechapter about the gigants in Spain achieved a great diffusion in Europe was traslated in german language in 1773. Nevertheless, Antonio José Cavanilles shows in his memory about the Observationson the natural history... of Valencia kingdom (1795-1797) his disagreements with the main ideasabout Deluge contained in the Apparatus of Torrubia.4
