En este capítulo se analizan las grandes tendencias de la política exterior de los países que conforman el Magreb central (Marruecos, Argelia, Libia y Túnez) con especial énfasis en su renovado interés por estrechar lazos con el resto del continente africano. Se aborda en el análisis el peso de los condicionantes estructurales y de las nuevas dinámicas internacionales, regionales y nacionales, tanto a nivel político, económico, como de seguridad, sobre la evolución de las políticas africanas de los estados magrebíes (Marruecos, Argelia, Libia y Túnez). La evolución del escenario internacional y regional ha modificado sustancialmente la posición subalterna del Magreb en el escenario mundial y su posición estratégica se ha visto realzada por su ubicación crucial entre Europa y el continente africano, encrucijada de nuevos retos económicos y de seguridad.

This chapter presents an analysis of the majar trends in the foreign policy of the countries that make up the central Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Tunisia) with special emphasis on their renewed interest in strengthening ties with the rest of the African continent. The analysis deals with the weight of structural conditioning factors and new international, regional and national dynamics at the political, economic and security levels on the evolution of the African policies of the North African states (Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Tunisia). The evolution of the international and regional scenario has substantially modified the subaltern position of the Maghreb on the world stage and its strategic position has been enhanced by its crucial location between Europe and the African continent, a crossroads ot new economic and security challenges.
