Resumen de Festivales y desarrollo cultural en la provincia de Cáceres: Más allá del impacto económico

  Este artículo explora el impacto de los festivales culturales en los que la música es un elemento central. Como estudio de caso hemos seleccionado el Festival Guitarvera, un festival basado en la música y la cultura de una región cultural en la comarca de la Vera que incluye territorios de tres provincias españolas (Cáceres, Ávila y Toledo). El Festival Guitarvera ha supuesto en mayor o menor medida una dinamización del municipio y de la zona donde se celebra, tanto a nivel de promoción turística como cultural y económica. En este artículo se analizan los impactos y modelos económicos de este tipo de festivales a partir de aspectos que no siempre son fáciles de delimitar y medir, pero que tienen una importancia fundamental para los pueblos y comarcas que los acogen.

  This article explores the impact of cultural festivals where music is a central element. As a case study, we have selected the Guitarvera Festival, a festival developed around the music and popular culture of La Vera, a cultural area that includes territories from three Spanish regions (Cáceres, Ávila and Toledo). The Guitarvera Festival has resulted, to a greater or lesser extent, in the revitalization of the municipality and the area where it is held, both in terms of tourist promotion and in terms of culture and economy. This article analyses the impacts and economic models of this type of festival from aspects that are not always easy to delimit and measure, but which are of fundamental importance for the towns and regions that host them.
