Resumen de La contribución de Gumersindo Laverde en la inclusión de léxico asturiano en los repertorios académicos de finales del siglo XIX

The aim of this study of descriptive lexicography is to present the lexicon of Asturias, whose presence in the DRAEhas practically not yet been addressed. This lexicon was included in the dictionaries of the Real Academia Española of the late 19thcentury (DRAE-1869, DRAE-1884 and DRAE-1899). Following a brief overview of the preceding situation, I describe the reversal brought about by DRAE-1884, which led to a substantial increase (over 90%) in the number of Asturian words and meanings included. Then, based on research conducted onthe amendments and addenda files in the archives of the Real Academia, I examine the people who drafted these numerous new additions; in this endeavor, one name stands out: Gumersindo Laverde Ruiz (1836-1890), a key nineteenth-century Asturian intellectual who wanted to revive the never-completed project of the Diccionario del dialecto asturiano, by Melchor Gaspar de Jovellanos (1744-1811). The efforts of this undertaking were collected, in part, in the Diccionario de lalengua castellana. In addition, I will provide a brief summary of Laverde’s philological work and linguistic ideas, which are little known in current scholarship, despite their quality.

L’oxetivu d’esti trabayu de lexicografía descriptiva ye presentar el léxicu d’Asturies, del que sobre la so presencia nel DRAE casi nada se dixo entá, tampoco nos repertorios de la Academia de fines del sieglu XIX (DRAE-1869, DRAE-1884 y DRAE-1899). Tres un percorríu mui por alzao pela situación previa, faise referencia al estímulu que supunxo’l DRAE-1884 nesta cuestión, con un aumentu bultable (de más del 90%) de les voces y aceiciones asturianes. Igualmente, gracies al llabor de busca fechu nel ficheru d’iguadures y amestadures del archivu de la Real Academia Española, estúdiase quién fexo eses nueves y numberoses amestadures; destacando un nome propiu: Gumersindo Laverde Ruiz (1836-1890), una figura clave de la intelectualidá asturiana decimonónica que quixo retomar el proyeutu fallíu del Diccionario del dialecto asturiano, de Melchor Gaspar de Xovellanos (1744-1811). Los esfuercios d’esti trabayu quedaron recoyíos –en parte– nel Diccionario de la lengua castellana. Como llabor complementariu, fairáse un curtiu resume del trabayu filolóxicu y les idees llingüístiques de Laverde, poco conocíes –magar la so calidá– pela investigación d’anguaño. A lo cabero, analízase la trayeutoria del corpus dialeutal estudiáu tamién na siguiente edición, la de 1899, na que’l trabayu laverdianu caltuvo gran parte del so conteníu.
