In this work the variation of the physico-chemical properties of the Asturian jurassic Jet during its artificial thermal evolution are studied by means of the open pyrolysis system. Petrographic and geochemica/ results show that this material which is highly hydrogenated in origin, develops a specific path of evolution inside the catagenetic stage but it maintains its high hydrocarbon potential and its characteristics as a good fue/ throughout the entire evolution process.
