We present a Geomorphological Map located in the central part of Asturias (NW Spain). The bedrock units are Paleozoic and Meso-Tertiary sediments. The most common Quaternary landforms are related to gravitational processes: colluviums, talus screes and landslides. Some of the landslides are located around zones of possible recent tectonic activity (Naranco Mountain). Was it there a seismic cause for the evolution of the landslides and the hillslopes?. In order to test this hypothesis we have studied the hillslope morphology by means of topographic profiles, slope angle maps, relative positions of the landslides, and by considering the bedrock influence. In our preliminary approach most of the hillslope morphologies of the mapped area were formed by climatic events (storms) which triggered the landslides. Nonetheless, in the Naranco zone slight differences in hillslope morphology mayindicate a seismic influence.
