Resumen de El profesorado de los institutos canarios de segunda enseñanza en el periodo 1936-1942

Con esta aportación se realiza el balance de la depuración y represión ejercidas por el franquismo sobre los 78 profesores de los Institutos canarios de segunda enseñanza, (La Laguna, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas, La Palma y Arrecife de Lanzarote), desde el comienzo de la Guerra Civil española de 1936 hasta aproximadamente 1942, cuando se da por finalizado el trabajo de las comisiones de depuración. La documentación en la que se basa esta comunicación procede de los archivos de los Institutos canarios de segunda enseñanza, de los archivos históricos provinciales de Santa Cruz de Tenerife y Las Palmas y, especialmente, del Archivo Central del Ministerio de Educación y del Archivo General de la Administración de Alcalá de Henares. También se han tenido en cuenta las publicaciones más significativas acerca de ese nivel de enseñanza así como los boletines oficiales del Estado y las provincias canarias.

With this contribution there is realized the balance sheet of the purification and repression exercised by the Franco’s regime on 78 teachers of the Canary Institutes of the second education, (La Laguna, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas, La Palma y Arrecife de Lanzarote), from the beginning of the Spanish Civil war of 1936 until approximately 1942, when there gives itself finished the work of the commissions of purification. The documentation on which this communication is based comes from the files of the Canary Institutes of the second education, from the historical provincial files of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas and, specially, from the Central File of the Department of Education and from the General File of the Administration of Alcala of Henares. Also the most significant publications have been born in mind it brings over of this level of education as well as the official bulletins of the State and the Canary provinces.
