Resumen de A cidade e a música

  The relationship between city and music can be made from their conceptual definitions to the origins of urban spaces and musical activities. Historically, there has been a tendency for musical activities to join in urban spaces, in the most diverse regions of the globe. As well as the city, the music must also be understood as a social creation, full of symbolic, creative and territorial elements.

  The present article investigates the relationship between city and music and it is structured in three sections, presenting three approaches for the study: the first entitled “The Creation of The Cities: urban space and musical activities”, the second “The Creation in The Cities: creative cities of the music” and the third “Creative Activities and Territorial Development: Music and Territory in Tatuí City, São Paulo State”. In this way, we seek to contribute in to analyze the relations between Geography and Music and to offer subsidies for the researches that relates the urban space and musical activities.

  A relação entre cidade e música pode ser feita desde suas definições conceituais até as origens dos espaços urbanos e das atividades musicais. Historicamente, verifica-se a tendência das atividades musicais se aglomerarem em espaços urbanos, nas mais diversas regiões do globo. Assim como a cidade, a música também deve ser compreendida como criação social, carregada de elementos simbólicos, criativos e territoriais. O presente artigo investiga as relações entre cidade e música e estrutura-se em três seções, apresentando três abordagens para o estudo desta relação: a primeira denominada “A Criação das Cidades: o espaço urbano e as atividades musicais”, a segunda “A Criação nas Cidades: cidades criativas da música” e a terceira “Atividades Criativas e Desenvolvimento Territorial: Música e Território em Tatuí-SP”. Desta forma, busca-se contribuir com os estudos que analisam as relações entre Geografia e Música e oferecer subsídios para pesquisas que relacionem o espaço urbano e as atividades musicais.
