La existencia de motivaciones de índole económica en la adopción del Código de Producción no impiden que dicho código pueda inscribirse, además, como una pieza fundamental en la disputa por el lugar social que debía ocupar el cine, y en la configuración definitiva, por tanto, de los rasgos esenciales de lo que hoy conocemos como cine clásico.
The existence of economic motivations in the adoption of the Production Code does not prevent this code from being inscribed, moreover, as a fundamental piece in the dispute for the social place that cinema should occupy, and, therefore, in the definitive configuration, of the essential features of what we know today as classical cinema.
