En él se muestran los primeros datos de una investigación mayor sobre el cuento literario en Centroamérica en el siglo XX, centrándose principalmente en un primer inventario del género en los seis países que conforman el istmo.

This article offers an attempt to describe the present state of 20th C. Central American short story. It forms part of a major research project conducted on the genre in the region, making a first inventory of the short story production of the six countries that form the isthmus.
