Resumen de El estudio de las inundaciones históricas en Sevilla a través de fuentes periodísticas (siglo XX)

  La relación entre Sevilla y su río ha venido marcada por las reiteradas inundaciones que ha experimentado la ciudad desde que se tienen registros históricos. El objetivo principal de este trabajo ha sido el estudio de dos de las inundaciones históricas del siglo XX de mayor envergadura (la de febrero de 1917 y la marzo de 1963) en la llanura aluvial del Guadalquivir, en dos momentos políticos diferentes (la Restauración y el Régimen Franquista) y a través de la información publicada en la prensa escrita del momento. Este estudio ha permitido la elaboración de sendas cartografías en las que se representa la extensión máxima de la lámina de agua en Sevilla; así como el análisis de la influencia política e ideológica en la manera en la que la prensa aborda las noticias sobre las inundaciones de la ciudad.

  The relationship between Seville and its river has been marked by repeated floods that the city has experienced since they have historical records. The main objective of this work has been the study of two major historical floods of the twentieth century (February 1917 and March 1963) in the alluvial plain of the Guadalquivir, in two different political moments (the Restoration and the Franco Regime) and through the information published in the written press of the moment. This study has allowed the elaboration of cartographies in which the maximum extension of the sheet of water in Seville is represented; as well as the analysis of the political and ideological influence in the way in which the press deals with the news about the floods of the city.
