La presente investigación aborda los vínculos entre la neurociencia y la arquitectura, buscando vías para conectar evidencias teóricas con espacios construidos. Toma como punto de partida las aportaciones teóricas de investigadores americanos en materia de neuroarquitectura y cómo estos principios teóricos han sido utilizados por algunos arquitectos europeos en sus proyectos arquitectónicos. La ausencia de grupos de investigación sólidos hace que haya pequeñas investigaciones a priori desconectadas, que sólo parecen tener en común un ferviente interés por proyectar desde lo que siente el ser humano, con el objetivo de crear una arquitectura que tenga en cuenta el confort emocional y funcional del usuario. Entendiendo la arquitectura y sus usuarios como un ecosistema que funciona en sintonía. La investigación concluye con dos estudios que han puesto en práctica los principios de la neuroarquitectura, resaltando la importancia de que en el futuro este campo se establezca bajo el paraguas de la investigación profesional para no caer en el saco de las pseudociencias.

The present research approaches the links between neuroscience and architecture, looking for ways to connect the theories with the doings of the architects. It takes as a reference point the theories by american researchers in what concerns neuroarchitecture and how these principles have been used by some European architects in their projects. The lack of solid research teams entails a lot of small works a priori unconnected which seem to share the only goal of building spaces that consider how users feel in them. Creating an architecture that takes into account the emotional and functional comfort of the user, understanding the architecture and its dwellers as an ecosystem. The research concludes with two studies that have brought into practice the main principles of neuroarchitecture, highlighting the fact that in the near future this field should be stablished under the wings of professional researches so it doesn’t end up as a pseudoscience.
