Resumen de La profesión de gladiador en el Norte de África

  En este breve trabajo analizamos la profesión de gladiador en el Norte de África, principalmente, en Mauritania Tingitana. Nos centramos brevemente en las luchas de gladiadores (munera gladiatorium) y en las luchas contra fieras (venationes). En ambos casos y gracias a la documentación analizada, observamos cómo los habitantes de esta zona norteafricana contribuyeron con los munera, bien como aficionados, bien con su aportación humana para la profesión. Los gladiadores se convirtieron en verdaderos profesionales de la lucha y la gladiatura en un oficio libre, poco honorable, pero muy apreciado por la plebe romana.

  In this brief work we analyze the gladiator's profession in the North of Africa, principally, in Mauritania Tingitana. We centre brief on the gladiators' fights (munera gladiatorium) and on the fights against beasts (venationes). In both cases and thanks to the analyzed documentation, we observe how the inhabitants of this North African zone contributed with the munera, good as fans, good with your human contribution to the profession. The gladiators turned into real professionals of the fight and the gladiatura into a free, slightly honourable office, but very estimated by the Roman populace.
