  Este texto revisa el modo en que se ha descrito el valor escritural de la textura de la arquitectura india a partir de textos poéticos y ensayísticos de Octavio Paz y Henri Michaux. La mirada historiográfica tradicional ha desarrollado interpretaciones excesivamente técnicas y "evidentes" sobre la cuestión, y esta propuesta toma los textos de Michaux y Paz como fuente y exponentes de una mirada capaz de captar la textura desde premisas renovadas y pertinentes para posteriores estudios.

  This paper reviews the way in which the scriptural value of the texture of Indian architecture has been described from poetic and essay texts by Octavio Paz and Henri Michaux. The traditional historiographical approach has developed overly technical and "obvious" interpretations about the question, and this proposal takes the texts of Michaux and Paz as a source and exponents of a look capable of focusing the texture from renewed premises, always relevant for further studies.
