    El artículo examina principalmente los tres relatos de Primo Levi protagonizados por personajes que van a la montaña de excursión o a escalar: "La carne dell'orso", "Fine settimana" y el capítulo "Ferro" de Il sistema periodico. Por una parte se describen los elementos biográficos y autobiográficos de esos relatos y el significado que tuvo para el autor ese tipo de actividad, destacándose especialmente, respecto al grupo de amigos con los que convivió en Milán de julio de 1942 a setiembre de 1943, la imbricación entre actividades de montaña y aficiones literarias. Por otra se apuntan detalles en los que Levi se aparta en sus relatos de los hechos conocidos y se señala brevemente la reelaboración de la segunda parte de "La carne dell'orso" en "Ferro", para esbozar el proceso de creación de los personajes, que puede ayudar a entender el significado de los textos.

    The article examines the three short stories by Primo Levi in which the main characters go to the mountains and climb: "La carne dell'orso", "Fine settimana" and the chapter "Ferro" in Il sistema periodico. On the one side it describes biographical and autobiographical elements in these texts and the meaning of mountaineering for their author, with particular emphasis, concerning the group of friends with whom he lived in Milan between July 1942 and September 1943, on the overlapping between mountaineering and literary hobbies. On the other side, in pointing out details in which the narrative in those short stories departs from known facts and in considering the remake of the second part of "La carne dell'orso" into "Ferro", the article tries to show the creative process of characterization, which could help to better understand the meaning of the texts.
