The main geotechnical parameters of the Geological Unit of the Peninsular Hespérico Massif called "Complejo Esquisto Grauváquico", are expounded in this article.
This Geological Unit has been subdivided into two geotechnical units. On the one hand, the external edge of alteration or "Alluvial Flats", and, on the other, the "Rocky Materials of the C.E.G.".
The basic geotechnical characteristics of each unit are defined, such as: identification and state, alteration, expansion, strenght, deformation, etc.
Equally, a classification of the types of soils is made, according to the classifications which are commonly used in geotechnical, and a geomecanic classification of the rock mass, in a generic way, applying the parameters defined by Bieniawsky (1979) as well.
