Resumen de EUROBLOC: un modelo de simulación de caída de bloques y su máxima adaptación a la realidad

Ramón Copons Llorens, J. Altimir, Jordi Amigó Mitjana, A. Diaz, Joan Manuel Vilaplana Fernández

  • EUROBLOC is an analytic and numeric rock fall simulation model based on both the dynamics and the kinematics laws. The aim of a simulation programme is to represent the hypothetic rock fall along the slope. The programme provides data on the trajectories, heigth of rebounds and also the energy o f the blocks along the slope. In order to achieve a good simulation is necessary to obtain accurate field data as model input. Both the slope characteristics and block size must be represented numerically. The input data are the topography (TDM), the starting zones, the block volumes and the slope characteristics (terrain tipology, rugosity and vegetation cover). The results of the model is a 3D representation of the block trajectories, energies and rebounds. The simulated rock falls are calibrated with real data from recent events.
