Resumen de Análisis de la operativa en puerto de los buques de crucero según su segmento de servicio

  El tráfico de cruceros tiene unas características particulares desde el punto de vista del uso de la instalación portuaria. Se trata de un tráfico marítimo con una estricta programación en puerto de las operaciones a realizar, y de la duración de la escala, con el fin de maximizar el número de escalas que se cubren por año y, por extensión, maximizar los ingresos de la explotación del buque. Del mismo modo que existen diferencias en los servicios e instalaciones a bordo de los cruceros dependiendo del segmento con el que operan, este trabajo pretende analizar las características de las escalas de buques de crucero por segmento al que pertenece el buque. Este análisis busca determinar los parámetros característicos de la escala, desde el punto de vista de duración, franja horaria (diurna/vespertina/pernoctación) y estacional semanal (si existiese) para cada segmento de navieras de crucero. Además, para reforzar el estudio, este se desarrolla con puerto de diferente tamaño con el fin de detectar posibles cambios operativos de los buques asociados con el tamaño del puerto en el Mediterráneo español. Los resultados de este trabajo pueden resultar de interés para el desarrollo de estudios de impacto y estrategias de explotación para cruceros, terminales portuarias y del hinterland turístico de cada puerto y, en base a esta, particularizar estrategias para cada uno de los segmentos enfocados, por ejemplo, a desestacionalizar la actividad de cruceros.

  Cruise traffic has very particular characteristics from the point of view of the use of the port facility. This is a maritime traffic with a strict schedule of the operations to be carried out in port in order to maximize the number of calls that are covered per year and, by extension, maximize the income from the operation of the ship. In the same way that there are differences in services and facilities on board cruise ships depending on the segment in which they operate, this paper intends to analyze the characteristics of the cruise ship calls by segment to which the ship belongs. This analysis seeks to determine the key parameters of the call, from de point of view of duration, time slot (morning/evening/overnight) and weekly (if any) for each segment of cruise lines. In addition, to reinforce the study, it is developed with ports of different sizes in order to detect possible operational changes of the vessels associated with the size of the port. Specifically, cruise ports of the Spanish Mediterranean coast are taken to carry out the study. The results of this work may be of interest for the development of economic impact studies and in designing exploitation strategies for cruise vessels, port terminals and the tourist hinterland of each port. Since it allows knowing the pattern that each cruise ship segment fits in port and, based on these, build particular strategies for each of them.
