    No mês de junho, acontece a festa mais tradicional da cidade de Campina Grande, situada na Paraíba, Brasil. Tal festejo junino é nacionalmente conhecido por: “O Maior São João do Mundo”, o qual acontece no centro da cidade, no espaço denominado “Parque do Povo” e vem tomando novas proporções nessa trajetória de mais de 30 anos. No processo de globalização cultural, o evento reflete diretamente na paisagem, economia, turismo e política da cidade. Este trabalho aborda o estudo referente às modificações do layout desse evento com o passar dos anos e pesquisa a compreensão dos usuários acerca dessa disposição física. Como resultado, percebe-se que estas alterações estão atreladas a questões políticas e iniciativas privadas. O evento vem ganhando, então, um caráter mais elitista e segregador.

    In June, it takes place the most traditional party of the city of Campina Grande, located in Paraíba, Brazil. This June festival is nationally known as "O Maior São João do Mundo", which takes place in the center of the city in the space called "Parque do Povo" and has been taking new proportions in this trajectory of more than 30 years. In the process of cultural globalization, the event reflects directly on the landscape, economy, tourism and politics of the city. This paper approaches the study regarding the modifications of the layout of this event over the years and investigates about the users' understanding of this physical layout. As a result, it is perceived that these changes are linked to political issues and private initiatives. The event, then, is gaining a more elitist and segregating character.
