Conocimientos del paciente sobre la movilización con prótesis de cadera

    En estos últimos años se están incrementando la realización de artroplastias de cadera para tratar la discapacidad que produce la patología degenerativa en las articulaciones. Esto se debe también al incremento de la esperanza de vida y las patologías que conlleva. La incidencia global de la fractura de cadera en España en pacientes mayores de 65 años se encuentra entre 301 y 897/10 habitantes, valores por debajo de los de otros países de Europa o de los de los EE.UU. La fractura de cadera disminuye la esperanza de vida en casi 2 años y algunos pacientes precisaran asistencia sanitaria de por vida. Cabe resaltar la importancia del tratamiento rehabilitador que se inicia en el ámbito hospitalario y que continúa en el domicilio. Es de gran relevancia que el paciente y la familia adquieran conocimientos postoperatorios, para una buena recuperación sin complicaciones:infecciones,luxaciones… Por ello se requiere de un personal sanitario cualificado que informe al paciente y a la familia del proceso rehabilitador y resuelva todas las dudas. Los objetivos del estudio han sido analizar los conocimientos de los pacientes sobre la movilización del la prótesis de cadera; y conocer el papel del personal sanitario.

    In recent years the performance of hip arthroplasties to treat the disability that produces degenerative pathology in the joints has been increasing. This is also due to the increase in life expectancy and the pathologies that it entails. The overall incidence of hip fracture in Spain in patients older than 65 years is between 301 and 897/10 inhabitants, values below those of other European countries or those of the USA. Hip fracture reduces life expectancy in almost 2 years and some patients will need lifelong health care. It is important to highlight the importance of the rehabilitative treatment that begins in the hospital environment and continues at home. It is very important that the patient and the family acquire postoperative knowledge, for a good recovery without complications: infections, dislocations ... Therefore, a qualified health staff is required to inform the patient and the family of the rehabilitation process and resolve all doubts. The objectives of the study are: To analyze the knowledge of patients about the mobilization of the hip prosthesis; and to know the role of health personnel.
