Resumen de De la materialidad a la interpretación arqueológica: Análisis de las desigualdades sociales en el poblado argárico de peñalosa

  El mundo argárico ha sido interpretado en clave de desigualdad y estratificación social, caracterizado como una sociedad de clases. Para ello se han tomado entre otras variables analíticas la ausencia o presencia de la cultura material que componían los ajuares funerarios de los individuos inhumados; si éstos eran hombres o mujeres, adultos o individuos infantiles; y, en una menor medida, las relaciones de producción, distribución y consumo en términos de aumento de la extracción de excedente por parte de unos individuos sobre otros. En este momento hemos de preguntarnos:

  ¿permite el estado actual de la investigación afirmar la existencia de diferencias sociales cristalizadas en clases contrapuestas? ¿Hemos confundido nuestras variables analíticas con desigualdades irreconciliables? ¿Qué relaciones se establecen entre los grupos sociales y las diferencias de género? Intentando dar respuestas, éste trabajo pretende entre otras cuestiones, releer todas aquellas variables asumidas como base de la desigualdad social en un grupo arqueológico argárico concreto, Peñalosa, y analizar la relevancia o no de las categorías sociales y de género en su construcción.

  Para ello tomaremos como base empírica el conjunto de la cultura material (doméstica y funeraria) de Peñalosa, analizaremos la construcción y organización de los diferentes espacios que lo conforman y por último tomaremos en consideración los cuerpos (o restos óseos) como sujetos de cultura, donde tienen reflejo las experiencias vividas y las relaciones con el mundo que les rodean.

  The Argaric world has been interpreted as an unequal society with social stratification, characterized as a society of classes. For this reason we have considered, among other analytic variables, the absence or presence of the material culture that forms part of grave goods of the buried individuals, whether they were men or woman, adults or children; and, at a lower extent, the relations of production, distribution and consumption that existed in terms of an increased extraction of surplus carried out by some individuals above others. After reaching this point we must ask: dose the actual state of research allow us to assure the existence of social differences crystallized in counterpart or opposing social classes?; Have we confused our analytical variables with irreconcilable inequalities? What relationships exist between social groups and genders? Trying to answer these questions, this paper aims towards, apart from other objectives, the re-lecture of previously assumed variables as a bases for the justification of social inequality among the Argaric group of Peñalosa, as well as to analyze the relevance or not of social and gender categories. To reach this objective we will use as an empiric basis the material culture (both domestic and funerary) of Peñalosa, we will analyze the construction and organization of the different spaces that structured this site, and finally, we will consider the bodies (or osseous remains) as cultural subjects, where their life experiences and their relations with the surrounding world are reflected.

  Mundu argarikoa, gizarte estratifikatu eta desberdin bat bezala interpretatua izan da, gizarte mailakatu moduan bereiziz. Horretarako, beste aldagai analitikoen artean, ehortzitako indibiduoen hieta hatuak osatzen zuten kultura materialaren gabezia ala presentzia hartzen dira. Hau da, hauek gizonak ala emakumeak ziren, helduak ala haurrak ziren, eta neurri txikiago batean, produkzio, distribuzio eta kontsumo erlazioa indibiduo ezberdinen artean. Momentu honetan galdera hauek egiten ditugu: ikerketaren gaurko egoera honek, baimentzen ahal du ezberdintasun sozialak, aurkako klaseen bidez islatzea? Gure aldagai analitikoak, bateraezinak diren desberdintasunekin nahastu ditugu? Zer nolako erlazioak ezartzen dira gizarte taldeen eta genero ezberdintasunaren artean? Erantzunak eman nahian, lan honen asmoa, argarikoa bezalako talde arkeologiko zehatz batean zentratuz (Peñalosa), gizarte desberdintasun oinarritzat onartuak izan diren aldagaiak berrirakurtzea eta gizarte eta genero mailen eraikuntzaren garrantzia aztertzea. Horretarako, Peñalosako kultura materiala (domestikoa eta hiletetakoa) hartuko dugu oinarri enpiriko moduan, hauek formatzen dituen espazio ezberdinen eraikuntza eta antolaketa ikertuko dugularik.
