Resumen de El Estado y la Flatelia

  El objetivo de este artículo es mostrar cómo la filatelia es para los Estados emisores un símbolo de independencia, una tasa y un medio de financiación extraordinario. En primer lugar, se analizan tanto los agentes como el funcionamiento del mercado filatélico. En segundo lugar, se muestran las características de los precios en el mercado filatélico. Finalmente, se analizan las funciones que desempeña la filatelia para los Estados, incidiendo en la relativa a la financiación presupuestaria para los pequeños países europeos, poniendo como ejemplo a Mónaco.

  The aim of this article is to illustrate how, for issuing nations, philately is both a symbol of independence, a levy and an extraordinary source of income. The study begins, firstly, by analysing both the agents in the market and the workings of the market itself. Secondly, it explains the characteristics of prices in the philatelic market. Finally, the functions that philately performs for the issuing states are analysed, playing particular attention to the budgetary and financial implications that this has for small European countries, giving Monaco as an example.
