  Más de un millón de nuevos vehículos eléctricos (VE) se registraron en todo el mundo en el año 2017 (récord hasta la fecha), alcanzando el stock de este tipo de vehículos los tres millones de unidades en dicho año. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar los factores determinantes del importante despliegue del VE desde una perspectiva comparada a nivel internacional. El estudio analiza, mediante un modelo de frontera estocástica para datos de panel, el efecto sobre las matriculaciones de VE de la infraestructura de recarga (cargadores rápidos y lentos), de la tecnología de almacenamiento y de las medidas de estímulo a la oferta y a la demanda de este tipo de vehículos.

  More than one million of new electric vehicles (EV) were registered worldwide in the year 2017 (record to date), reaching the stock of this type of vehicles three million units in this year. The obMective of this paper is to analyze the key factors of the important deployment of the EV from a comparative perspective at international level. The study analyzes, using a stochastic frontier model for panel data, the effect on EV registration of the charging infrastructure (fast and slow chargers), the storage technology and the measures to stimulate the supply and demand of this type of vehicles
