    La mirada del otro, la del viajero, es una fuente historiográfica importante. A través de los relatos de seis viajeros (Frankland, Ordóñez, Jovellanos, Humboldt, Laborde y Bonnart) intentamos reflejar la San Sebastián de antes de su incendio y destrucción en 1813. Mediante sus testimonios nos acercamos a su fisonomía, su economía, sus transformaciones, sus rezos y sus diversiones.

    The glance of the other, that one from the traveller, is an important historiographical source. Through the stories of six travellers (Frankland, Ordoñez, Jovellanos, Humboldt, Laborde and Bonnart) we try to reflect San Sebastian before the fire that destroyed the city in1813. Thanks to their testimonies we get a closer approach of the physiognomy, economy, conversion, prays and entertainments of San Sebastian
