El sector oriental de la Llanada Alavesa viene proporcionando en los últimos años interesantes series de industria lítica que nos retrotraen tanto a épocas paleolíticas como postpaleolítica. El conjunto de Santa Bárbara, que se presenta aquí por primera vez, reúne más de 16000 elementos. Se describen medio millar de objetos, incluyendo bifaces, hendedores, raspadores, muescas y denticulados, puntas de retoque plano, un buen conjunto de nódulos y núcleos y una selección de soportes
Arabako Lautadaren ekialdeko sektoreak industria litikoaren hainbat serie interesgarri eskaini ditu azken urteetan, eta horiek Paleolitoaren eta post-paleolitoaren garaietara eramaten gaituzte. Santa Barbarako multzoak, hemen lehenengoz aurkezten denak, 16.000 elementutik gora biltzen ditu. Bostehun objektu deskribatzen dira, hala nola, bifazeak, pitzagailuak, harraskagailuak, koskak eta dentikulatuak, erretoke lauko muturrak, nodulu eta nukleo multzo handia eta euskarri aukera bat.
The eastern sector of the Plains of Alava has provided in recent years interesting Stone-age industry series that take us back to both Palaeolithic and Post-Palaeolithic times. The Santa Barbara collection, presented here for the first time, brings together more than 16,000 artefacts. Five-hundred objects are described, including bifaces, cleavers, scrapers, notches and cutting edges, flat-finish arrow heads, a sizeable collection of nodes and cores and a selection of supports.
