¿Qué significa que la filosofía sea contemporánea? ¿Puede la filosofía ser contemporánea? Estos son los interrogantes que este artículo pretende dilucidar tomando como referente algunos de los escritos del filósofo español José Ortega y Gasset sobre Hegel y la Historiología. El concepto de “historiología” que Ortega emplea y acuña es fundamental para dar cuenta de un problema filosófico tan antiguo como la filosofía misma, el problema del ser o carácter extranjero de la filosofía.

What do we mean by contemporary philosophy? Is it possible for philosophy to be contemporary? The article seeks to answer these questions by taking into account the writings by the Spanish philosopher José Ortega y Gasset on Hegel and the Historiology.
