Resumen de Los dos himnos en honor de Huitzilopochtli y sus implicaciones rituales, históricas y sociales

  Los veinte himnos dedicados a los dioses aztecas que fueron anotados por Bernardino de Sahagún en el curso de la primera mitad del siglo xvi han sido estudiados principalmente por lingüistas e historiadores. Generalmente éstos hicieron sus comentarios himno por himno, explicando su contenido desde la perspectiva de sus especialidades. En este breve artículo, se consideran en conjunto los dos primeros himnos, ambos dedicados a aspectos fundamentales de Huitzilopochtli.

  The twenty hymns in honor of the Aztec gods, recorded from oral tradition by Bernardino de Sahagún during the first half century after the Spanish conquest, have been studied chiefly by linguists and historians. In general, they made their commentaries one hymn at a time, explaining its content based on their academic field. In this short article, are consider together the two hymns dedicated to fundamental aspects of the god Huitzilopochtli and their social implications.
