Resumen de Niveles de alfabetización en la UAA

  A partir de la definición de los niveles de alfabetización y de su especificación en diversas categorías, así como de las prácticas de lectura y escritura de los estudiantes universitarios, se realizó esta investigación tomando como muestra a 1362 alumnos de los diferentes centros de la UAA. Los resultados son sorprendentes en tanto que la mayoría de los estudiantes penas llega al nivel de alfabetización básica y otros muchos (35%) se ubican dentro del alfabetismo funcional. Estos datos deben llevar a los profesores universitarios a reflexionar sobre la necesidad de trabajar en el desarrollo y perfeccionamiento de las habilidades de lectura y la escritura de los estudiantes.

  Based on the definition of literacy levels and their specification in various categories, as well as the reading and writing practices of university students, this research was carried out with a sample of 1362 students from the different UAA centers. The results are striking in that most of the students reach the level of basic literacy and many others (35%) fall within functional literacy. These data should lead university professors to reflect on the need to work on the development and improvement of students' reading and writing skills.
