Este artículo recorre el examen de Foucault de la matriz cristiana en la genealogía de la gubernamentalidad moderna para pensar la relación genética y morfológica entre la pastoral cristiana y el gobierno político. La tematización del paso histórico del gobierno cristiano de las almas al gobierno político moderno ofrece categorías para revisitar la dimensión religiosa de la gubernamentalidad en su evolución liberal. Se analiza el vínculo entre la economía política y la conducta de matriz cristiana en el proceso de moralización de las clases bajas del siglo XVIII. En este punto, Weber ofrece una conceptualización de la articulación entre conducta cristiana, ética profesional y capitalismo.

This article goes through Foucault’s examination of the Christian matrix in the genealogy of modern governmentality, in order to think about the genetic and morphological relationship between the Christian pastoral and the political government. The conceptualization of the historical move from Christian government of souls to the modern political government offers categories to revisit the religious dimension of the governmentality in relation to its liberal evolution. Thus, the article analyzes the link between political economy and Christian typology of conduct in the process of moralization of the lower classes of the 18th century. At this point, Weber offers a conceptualization of the articulation between Christian behavior, professional ethics and capitalism.
