Obsolescencia del mito político

    Nuestra modernidad ha mantenido posturas tan convergentes como distanciadoras entre sus dos grandes mitologías, la cognitiva y la pulsional, como pueden ser las de un Sorel o un Husserl. Pero en las últimas décadas, la realidad ya no puede ser pensada bajo las vetustas categorías de pasión, interés, acontecimiento o mito… Las nuevas formas de sentir y actuar requieren un nuevo tipo de aprioricidad. El lugar de la acción ha sido ocupado por lo massmediático y el del afecto por una sensología. El resultado ha sido una des-subjetivación y una des-responsabilización. Entre la acción y la pasión surge una nueva categoría, la de agency, que promueve un nuevo tipo de figura política y de fanatismo diferente al del antiguo mito: la figura del maniquí, que sustituye al antiguo líder, y el del fan, consumidor de productos políticos, distinto del antiguo militante.

    Our modernity has kept convergent as well as divergent positions between its two main mythologies, the cognitive one and the pulsion one, such as the positions of Sorel or Husserl. However, in the last decades, reality cannot be conceived under the old categories of passion, interest, event or myth… The new ways of feeling and acting require a new type of aprioricity. The space of the action has been occupied by mass media and the space of the affection has been occupied by sensology. The result has been a desubjectivation and a no accountability. Between action and passion emerges a new category: the category of agency, which promotes a new type of political figure and fanaticism different from the ancient myth: the manikin, who substitutes the old leader and the fan, different from the old militant and who consumes political products.
