Es difícil considerar sin reservas una petición de predicciones para el actual siglo iniciado. El historial de las predicciones sobre los asuntos humanos no ha sido alentador, ni siquiera a corto plazo, o en lo que se refiere a las ciencias. Con la excepción de unas pocas áreas, nuestra comprensión es superficial, y algunos factores cruciales (como la voluntad humana) están fuera de nuestro alcance. Quizá la predicción más plausible sea que cualquier pronóstico sobre cuestiones importantes probablemente errará, y si acierta, será por casualidad.

It is difficult to consider without great caution a request for predictions for the recently started century. The record of predictions about human issues has not been uplifting, not even in the short-term or regarding Sciences. Apart from some areas, our understanding is superficial, and some crucial factors (as the human will) are out of our reach. Perhaps the most plausible prediction could be that any prediction would be wrong and if it is finally demonstrated true, it will be by chance.
