  Este artículo analiza la representación de la migración en el libro Los Boys de Junot Díaz, a partir de las distinciones entre sujeto migrante y diaspórico propuestas por Abril Trigo. En el contexto de las actuales migraciones caribeñas a los Estados Unidos, interesa mostrar cómo esta serie de relatos configura en República Dominicana y Nueva York la s du alidades e spaciales (a quí/allá) y temporales (a hora/entonces), e l v iaje migratorio familiar y los desplazamientos rurales y urbanos. Estos relatos exponen espacios distópicos, que anulan la utopía del sueño americano.

  This article analyzes how the migration is portrayed in Junot Diaz’ Los Boys. It considers the differences between migrant and diasporic subject, proposed by Abril Trigo. In the context of the ongoing Caribbean migrations to the United States, we show how this series of short stories shape both in the Dominican Republic and in New York, the space (here / there) and time (now / then) dualities, the migration trip of the family, and rural and urban displacement. These stories expose dystopian spaces, which nullify the utopia of the American dream.
