  Hija del incipiente Renacimiento, la comedia humanística latina ofrece como uno de sus rasgos más salientes el persistente propósito de arrimarse a la lengua, la estructura y los argumentos de la antigua comedia romana de Plauto y Terencio. En este trabajo nos proponemos examinar en detalle cómo se plasma esta tendencia en el caso de la comedia Emporia, de Tito Livio Frulovisi, específicamente en cuanto a su fraseología y su léxico.

  Outgrowth of the incipient Renaissance, the Latin humanistic comedy offers as one of its most outstanding features the persistent purpose of drawing heavily on the language, structure and arguments of Plautus and Terence’s ancient Roman comedy. In this article we propose to examine in detail how this tendency is captured in the case of the comedy Emporia, by Tito Livio Frulovisi, specifically in terms of its phraseology and lexis.
