Resumen de Sintassi e testualità nel romanzo francese in prosa del XIII secolo

Coniugando le prospettive della filologia con quelle della linguistica testuale, il saggio prende in esame l’orchestrazione della prosa arturiana del XIII secolo, focalizzandosi sulle sue strutture sintattiche e testuali. Per mettere in luce i costituenti di questa nascente forma espressiva sono analizzate, dapprima, le rielaborazioni in prosa di testi in versi, quindi le riscritture in prosa di modelli già in prosa. Infine sono prese in esame alcune strutture caratteristiche di testi in prosa che non rielaborano un modello precedente. Nelle conclusioni si riflette sulle ragioni, linguistiche e cognitive, che, nell’ambito della narrativa, hanno determinato il successo della forma prosa.

By combining the approaches of philology and textual linguistics, this essay considers the organisation of thirteenth-century Arthurian prose. In particular, it takes into account its syntactic and textual structures. In order to shade light on the basic elements of this emerging form, the contribution focuses on the rewriting in prose of verse narrative, the reshaping of preexisting prose, as well as on the construction of original prose. Finally, the author investigates the linguistic and cognitive reasons that led to the success of the prose form
