Resumen de De escritores portátiles y bárbaros: Vila-Matas y Bolaño escribiendo historias de la literatura inventadas

En este artículo he tratado de poner en relación dos novelas: "Historia abreviada de la literatura portátil" (1985), de Enrique Vila-Matas, y "Estrella distante" (1996), de Roberto Bolaño. Para ello se ha tomado como eje de comparación las historias de la literatura inventadas que aparecen en ambas obras y los mecanismos utilizados en su construcción. A través de estas historias, se subraya, también, el juego intertextual presente en los dos libros, motivado, sin duda alguna, por el interés recíproco de ambos autores que derivó en una profunda amistad hasta la muerte del escritor chileno.

In this paper I have tried to link two novels: Enrique Vila-Matas’ "Historia abreviada de la literatura portátil" (1985) and Roberto Bolaño’s "Estrella distante" (1996). For this work I have taken as an axis of comparison the invented literature history that appears in both works and the mechanisms used for their construction. Through these histories, I have emphasized, also, the intertextual game existing in two books, motived, of course, for the mutual interest of each author that has resulted in a deep friendship until the decease of the Chilean writer.
