Resumen de A cidade e o diálogo cultural de suas gentes: o caso da cidade da Beira em Moçambique

The paper that comes out of the present abstract will constitute a reflection about a multicultural and multiracial gathering that characterises Beira and the way in which this gathering brought about cultural creativity of its people in between 1970 and 2015. The ultimate goal of this reflexion is to analyse the ethno-cultural differences in a linguistic, artistic and social point of view and the influence that these had to the cultural creativity of the Beira City. The article will tackle on positive and negative aspects of the intercultural gathering marked by ethno cultural variety of people coming from different parts of Mozambique and share the same urban space. With regards to methodology, the paper will be driven in a qualitative approach in the sense that it will mainly look at the content rather than looking thoroughly at the quantity of the interviews. The study will be conducted through bibliographic research to enhance the concepts and the search of relevant information essentially about ethny, in the open interviews to collect data about manifestation of sociability in the cultural diversity, applying the Technique known as snow ball, essential to identify informers that are experienced enough or that know relevant cases for the study and use a life story as a resource to collect individual experiences that will help accomplishing the goal of the paper. As a result of the study, we hope that different ways of expressions such as ethno cultural, linguistic, artistic and social are identified and its impact in the cultural creativity and in the manifestation of the sociability.

O artigo de que resulta este resumo, pretende constituir-se numa reflexão sobre o convívio multi-cultural e multi-racial que é característico à cidade da Beira e a forma como este convívio propiciou a criatividade cultural das suas gentes, num horizonte que vai de 1972 à 2015. É finalidade desta reflexão analisar as diferenças étnicoculturais sob ponto de vista linguístico, artístico e social e a influência que estas tiveram para a criatividade cultural na cidade da Beira. O artigo aborda aspectos negativos e positivos do convívio intercultural marcado por uma miscelânea étnico-cultural de gentes provenientes das diferentes partes de Moçambique e que coabitam no espaço urbano desta cidade. Em termos metodológicos, o trabalho baseou-se na abordagem qualitativa, na medida em que ele se cingiu mais nos conteúdos sem necessariamente passar pela quantificação rigorosa e tratamento estatístico das entrevistas. Com efeito, a operacionalização do estudo foi com base na pesquisa bibliográfica, para o aprimoramento dos conceitos e busca de informações relevantes essencialmente sobre as etnias; nas entrevistas abertas, para colher informações sobre manifestações de sociabilidade na diversidade cultural; na aplicação da técnica da bola de neve, fundamentalmente para identificar informantes que tivessem experiências ou conhecessem casos relevantes para o estudo e o recurso a histórias de vida, para colher experiências individuais que ajudaram na concretização do objectivo do trabalho, entre outras. Como resultado, foram identificadas diferentes formas de expressões étnico-culturais, linguísticas, artísticas e sociais, e o seu impacto na criatividade cultural e em manifestações de sociabilidade.
