    “La manera de hacer las cosas” se titula el Informe sobreDesarrollo Humano del Programa de las Naciones Unidaspara el Desarrollo (PNUD) correspondiente al año 2009.Si bien, todos los indicadores muestran que en los últimosveinte años hubo un salto cualitativo en el desarrollodel país, existe una incertidumbre en cuanto a lasproyecciones a futuro. Hoy en día, la curva del desarrollocomienza a aplanarse, revelando un freno gradual aldesarrollo que se había experimentado. Frente a estaincertidumbre respecto al crecimiento, el Informe 2009pone especial atención en las prácticas.El sociólogo y Doctor en Sociología de la Universidad deErlangen-Nürenberg en Alemania, Pedro Güell, quien hadirigido informes anteriores y ha participado en la elaboracióndel informe del Desarrollo Humano 2009, a continuaciónexplica por qué es necesario poner el foco delestudio del Desarrollo Humano en las prácticas.

    "The way of doing things" is called the Report on Human Development of the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP) corresponding to the year 2009. Although, all the indicators show that in the last twenty years there was a qualitative leap in development of the country, there is uncertainty as to the projections to the future. Today, the development curve begins to flatten, revealing a gradual brake to development that had been experienced. In front of this uncertainty regarding growth, the 2009 Report Pay special attention to the practices. The sociologist and Doctor in Sociology from the University of Erlangen-Nürenberg in Germany, Pedro Güell, who has directed previous reports and has participated in the elaboration of the Human Development Report 2009, below explains why it is necessary to put the focus of the Human Development study in the practices.
