Estudiamos la ubicación de una de las comunidades vegetales presentes en la Península Ibérica recogida en los autores clásicos de época romana y visigoda. Hemos tenido en cuenta la cronología de sus pasajes y su situación geográfica. Para ello seguimos la estructura de los dominios en el actual paisaje, que está integrado por formaciones que se disponen en comunidades cuyo conjunto constituye el dominio vegetal de un área. Los tres tipos son el bosque, el matorral y el prado. En esta ocasión solo nos vamos a centrar en el término Lucus “lugar rodeado de espesa arboleda”. ¿Calvero del bosque?

We study the location of one of the plant communities in the Iberian Peninsula mentioned by the classical authors of the Roman and Visigothic periods. We have considered the chronology of their passages and their geographical location. Thus we follow the structure of the territories in the current landscape, which is composed of formations in communities that shape the plant life of an area. The three types are the forest, the brushwood and the grassland. On this occasion we will only focus on the term Lucus “low and thick forest” and “vast and uncultivated” space.
