  Una de las etapas más relevantes y significativas en el desarrollo del ser humano es la adolescencia, convirtiéndose en un tema importante en la investigación educativa que afecta a padres y madres, a instituciones y a todos los miembros del sistema educativo. En esta etapa tienen lugar multitud de cambios biológicos, psicológicos y sociales que formarán la personalidad del futuro adulto, por lo que los hábitos y valores adquiridos en la misma son fundamentales para conseguir una vida lo más fructífera y saludable posible. Nuestra investigación hace un recorrido sobre la conceptualización, etapas y características de dicha etapa y su vinculación con la práctica de actividad física y, más concretamente, del baloncesto.

  One of the most relevant and significant stages in the development of the human being is adolescence, becoming an important issue in educational research affecting parents, institutions and all members of the education system. In this stage there are many biological, psychological and social changes that will shape the personality of the future adult, so the habits and values acquired in it are fundamental to achieve a life as fruitful and healthy as possible.

  Our research takes a look at the conceptualization, stages and characteristics of this stage and its relationship with the practice of physical activity and, more specifically, of basketball.
