Resumen de Ceuta y su hinterland desde la teoría de la frontera. El caso de las mujeres porteadoras

Este artículo forma parte de la tesis doctoral «la situación de las mujeres porteadoras en la frontera hispano-marroquí. El caso de Ceuta». Con el propósito de encuadrar el objetivo de la investigación se ha realizado una revisión histórica teórico a las principales contribuciones de la teoría de la frontera; los efectos de la globalización sobre las mujeres; y la globalización en los derechos humanos. Durante el conjunto de la investigación se ha hecho uso de la etnografía, en la cual se ha empleado la observación en los puntos fronterizos en los que los sujetos objeto de la investigación intervienen y se ha completado con entrevistas en profundidad a los sujetos de la investigación. La teoría fundamentada ha sido la técnica que se ha usado para el análisis de los datos. Ante este fenómeno, los resultados que se extraen se orientan hacia el perfil de las mujeres porteadoras, su modo y condiciones de trabajo.

This article is part of a doctoral thesis «The Situation of women porteadoras the Spanish- Moroccan border: The Case of Ceuta.». This article focuses on three key points. The first part of the article it was conducted a historical review of the main contributions of the border theory; the effects of globalization on women; and the globalization and human rights. The second part of this article looks at the methods used to carry out the study, principally, strenuous ethnographic research at the border point and the surrounding areas of the groups studied in this thesis, complemented with in-depth interviews with the main agents involved in the investigation. Grounded Theory was the technique used to analyze the data. Finally, the last part of this article focuses on the principle results obtained during the investigation.
