Asistimos a la evolución de un capitalismo productivo hacia otro financiero, cuya lógica prescinde y debilita el factor trabajo, lo que contribuye, entre otros factores, a explicar la volátil empleabilidad actual. En términos sociales esta situación comporta no solo la exclusión del sistema laboral, sino también la exclusión social, habida cuenta de la centralidad que sigue desempeñando el trabajo en la sociedad. En este contexto, y mientras se resuelve el debate sobre la viabilidad del pleno empleo, surge la necesidad de reflexionar sobre la implantación de una renta básica garantizada e incondicional como mecanismo de integración social. We are witnessing the evolution from a productive capitalism to a financial one, whose logic ignores and weakens the labour factor, fact that contributes, among other factors, to explain the current employability volatility. In social terms this situation implies not only the exclusion of the labour system, but also social exclusion, given the centrality of work that still remains in our societies. In this context, while the debate of full employment takes place, there is a urgent need to think about an implementation of a guaranteed basic and unconditional income as a mechanism for social integration. Far from what can be written, its impact on labour relations is presumably positive, since, among other effects, it will lower the unemployment rate and improve the working conditions.
