Para dar cuenta de la censura como fenómeno discursivo, es preciso concebir una interacción en la que un tercero –el censor– impide que alguien reciba un discurso que otro ha formulado. Dentro de esta peculiar conversación de tres participantes, el censor mantiene distintas relaciones de identidad –coaliciones– con el emisor del mensaje o con su destinatario. Puede coligarse con el destinatario, con el emisor o permanecer independiente de ambos.

In order to account for censorship as a discursive phenomenon, it is essential to conceive an interaction in which a third participant –the censor– prevents someone from receiving a discourse that someone else has formulateds.
Within this peculiar three-participant conversation, the censor maintains different identity relations –coalitions– with the sender of the message or with the receiver. He or she may ally with the sender or with the receiver, or remain independent from both of them.
