El áltimo período importante en la obra histórica y filosófica de Thomas S. Kuhn va desde 1987 (Shearman Lectures, todavía inéditas) hasta 1993. El presente trabajo describe y critica las tesis de ese período. El concepto central de Kuhn, el léxico, es el instrumento recientemente desarrollado para encarar las dificultades que la inconmensurabilidad conceptual le plantearan. A la vez, la interpretación evolucionista del cambio científico y la proliferación de disciplinas científicas son considerados conceptos básicos por parte de Kuhn, que murió en abril de 1996.

The last important period in Thomas S. Kuhn's philosophical and historical work goes from 1987 (the Shearman Lectures, not yet published) to 1993. The present paper describes and criticizes the theses there contained. Kuhn's central concept, the lexicon, is the new developed tool to face the troubles that the conceptual inconmen-surability has raised. At the same time evolutionist interpretation of scientific development and proliferation of scientific disciplines are considered basic concepts by Kuhn, who died in April 1996.
