  Partiendo de la función básica que los medios de comunicación desempeñan en la construcción de los discursos sociales, el presente estudio intenta analizar el tratamiento informativo que la prensa ofrece del síndrome de burnout. Se atiende a una selección de noticias y artículos periodísticos sobre el burnout aparecidos en la prensa nacional entre 1998 y 2000. Éstos son analizados con respecto a diversas categorías discursivas. Se desarrollan y valoran una serie de repertorios interpretativos que representan marcos de referencia lingüística que sirven en los textos para construir versiones de las acciones, eventos, procesos cognitivos y emocionales, etc

  Starting from the basic function that media have in the constitution of the social discour-ses, this study pretends to analyze the informative treatment that the writing media offer onthe burnout syndrome. We consider a selection of news and articles that appear in thenational press between 1998 y 2000. These are analyzed with respect to diverse discoursivecategories. We developed a serie of interpretative repertories that represent some frames oflingüistic references which are good in the texts for the versions of actions, events, cogniti-ve and feelings process, etc.
