During the Spanish Civil War, Republican forces demolished the watchtower of the Cape of Cullera, built in the 16th century for the defense and control of the coast, to build a defensive anti-aircraft complex to stop the attacks of the Italian allied aviation of General Franco. Although there is no trace of its construction, the abundant graphic documentation (photographs and plans) allow us to carry out a historical reconstruction of this tower that marked the coastal landscape of the bay of Cullera and the Gulf of Valencia.
