  In order to develop an efficient way to identify and characterize structural faults, this paper aimed to demonstrate an application of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for this problem. Therefore, through a dynamic model for the representation of a building structure, an ARTMAP-Fuzzy RNA has been developed because it is a flexible and stable network in relation to its ability to adapt to unforeseen changes in the external environment to identify such failures

  A fim de desenvolver uma forma eficiente para a identificação e caracterização de falhas estruturais, este artigo teve por objetivo demonstrar uma aplicação de Redes Neurais Artificiais (RNAs) para tal problema.

  Portanto, através de um modelo dinâmico para a representação de uma estrutura predial, desenvolveu-se uma RNA ARTMAP-Fuzzy por ser uma rede flexível e estável em relação à sua habilidade em se adaptar às mudan- ças imprevistas do ambiente externo, para identificar tais falhas.
