Resumen de Sobre inmigrantes latinoamericanos en la televisión chilena: estigmas y fronteras en las narrativas audiovisuales

  En la presente ponencia, pretendemos analizar la presencia del proceso migratorio latinoamericano en la televisión chilena dentro de las coordenadas de una narrativa nacional arraigada sobre viejas ideas de modernidad y nuevas concepciones del trabajo - como el emprendimiento- las cuales, se entrecruzan y articulan para generar estigmas objetivados sobre los cuerpos visibles de inmigrantes latinoamericanos en Chile. Tomaremos el caso particular de la imagen del territorio fronterizo nortino (entre Chile � Perú � Bolivia), pues es en este lugar donde la narrativa visual sobre la inmigración en los medios de comunicación nacionales toma mayor fuerza al momento de construir los límites de la nación.

  In this paper, we intend to analyze the presence of Latin American migration process on Chilean television within the coordinates of a national narrative rooted on old ideas of modernity and new conceptions of work - such as entrepreneurship -which, intersect and articulate to generate bjectified stigmas about visible bodies of Latin American immigrants in Chile. We will take the case of the image of the north border (between Chile - Peru - Bolivia), for it is here where visual narrative about immigration in the national media takes more strength in the process of building the limits of the nation.
