Resumen de Oficios de salitre: As mulleres e os traballos do mar

  Este artigo pretende contribuír a visibilizar unha historia, a das mulleres, que permaneceu oculta durante séculos e que en parte foi e segue a ser descoñecida. A través do relato construído en base a conversas con traballadoras do mar da zona de Pontevedra podemos coñecer como foron cambiando os oficios desde a súa infancia até hoxe en día; en que circunstancias e en que contexto tiveron que pelexar para defender o seu posto de traballo; como se foi regularizando a súa situación e que implicacións tiveron para elas. A atención céntrase sobre algúns dos oficios máis coñecidos: mariscadoras a pé, mariscadoras a bote, redeiras, traballadoras da conserva e vendedoras de peixe.   This study wants to contribute to the visibilization of women’s history, which remained hidden for centuries and still remains partly unknown. Through the account built on the basis of conversations with women with jobs related to the sea, we can get to know how their professions changed from childhood to nowadays; how circumstances and context affected them and how they had to fight to defend their jobs; how their situation was regularized and what this implied. The focus is on some of the best-known professions: shellfish catchers (with or without boat), net menders, canning workers and fish sellers. Get to know their history, the story told by themselves, is the ultimate goal of these pages
