  El Sinaí es aparentemente uno de los puntos geográficos bañados por el sur del Mediterráneo. Pero el incremento de atentados y presencia del Daesh en el norte del Sinaí desde el otoño de 2014 han convertido a esta península en uno de los «corazones» de Egipto. Por otra parte, sucesos geoestratégicos paralelos en los últimos meses (el caso concreto de la cesión administrativa de las islas de Tirán y Sanafir por parte de Egipto a Arabia Saudí, o el incremento de la presencia «oficial» de las tribus en el conflicto del Sinaí) contribuyen a demostrar la importancia de los sucesos que acontecen alrededor de la península, y que afecta no solo a los países vecinos sino que tiene implicaciones clave para el conflicto futuro en Oriente Próximo y la misma guerra fratricida que está aconteciendo en el seno del Islam.

  Sinai is apparently one of many among the geographical areas bordering the southern Mediterranean. But the increase in attacks and the Daesh presence in northern Sinai since the fall of 2014 have made this peninsula one of the «hearts» of Egypt. On the other hand, parallel geostrategic events took place in recent months (v.gr. the case of the administrative transfer of the islands of Tiran and Sanafir by Egypt to Saudi Arabia, or the increase in the «official» presence of the tribes in the conflict of the Sinai ) and help to demonstrate the importance of the events that happen around that peninsula, which affects not only neighboring countries but it has key implications either to future and likely conflicts in the Middle East and to the same fratricidal war that is occurring within the Islam.
