    From a methodological point of view, Raymond Aron's attitude is an original combination of the classic political tradition and the modem scientific one. Aron affirms the primacy of politics (the classic thesis) but justifies it analytically andempirically. From a philosophical point of view, Aron's political thinking is based on the affirmation of the historicity of human action. A triple analysis ― of the knowledge-action problem, of the ethics-action problem and of the freedom-action problem ― leads to an approach to Aron's political attitude. This analytical approach shows the theoretical substance of Aron's reasonable politics.

    Du point de vue méthodologique, l'attitude politique d'Aron s'avère une conciliation originale de la tradition politique classique et de la tradition scientifique moderne. Aron affirme le primat de la politique (thèse classique), mais il le justifie de manière analytique et empirique. Du point de vue philosophique, la pensée politique d'Aron s'appuie sur l'affirmation de l'historicité de l'action humaine. Une triple analyse - celle du problème connaissance-action, celle du problème morale-action et celle du problème liberté-action - permet une approche de l'attitude politique. Cette approche analytique sert à montrer le fond théorique de la politique raisonnable qui est celle d'Aron.
